Group Celebrations
We’re located on a beautiful heritage farm, and once you’ve put on our elegant long black Langtons Pottery aprons, you might decide to take your refreshment glasses for a welcome “cheers” and your first group photo next to the donkeys in the ancient monument field beside us. Then we’ll get settled into pottery making.
We’ll guide you on several techniques with plenty of ideas for inspiration. You’ll try hand building, the pottery wheel and underglazing.
There are no rules on what you make, and the opportunities are endless from mugs, flowerpots, dip and chip platters, candle sticks, soap dishes, salt pigs, oil burner, vases and jugs…. we’ll guide you to bring your pottery-make ideas to life!
You’ll each make 2 to 3 items in the party. You will have a choice of hand building techniques and a throw on the potter’s wheel.
Everything you make is included, so let your imagination run wild and before long you’ll be having your favourite drink or sharing snacks in a mug or bowl you made.
You’ll get to choose from a range of glossy glazes which we’ll glaze for you. You can choose a different colour for each pot or have them as a colour-matched set.
Your pots will be available to collect once they are fired, usually within 3-4 weeks.
Refreshments will be provided and if it’s a special occasion you can bring a cake if you would like to.
Your group celebration can be booked for evenings (excluding Wed/Thurs because these are regular class nights), or you may prefer Saturday/Sunday afternoon.

Our pottery parties are suitable for adults, and young adults aged 15 years accompanied by a participating adult.
